Constant Air Flow Regulators (Dampers)

Description

  • Dampers or constant airflow valves are suitable when constant air flow or specific air distribution is required.
  • They reduce or increase ventilation or air conditioning air duct system air flow, through passive operation without mechanical, electrical, pneumatic energy, sensors or control.
  • Their operation is based on a special silicon hourglass shaped “balloon” at 0 mm static pressure.
  • When the static pressure increases, the balloon’s volume increases accordingly thus reducing the available air cross section and stabilizing air flow.
  • Their frame is made of steel sheet with a foam insulation tape on the perimeter for perfect connection.
  • Dampers are manufactured in nominal diameters and are suitable for operation with the same diameter air ducts.
  • The silicon “balloons” are factory adjusted and cannot be adjusted on site. Airflow regulation accuracy is ±10%.

CAR series is available in two types:

  • CAR-LP low pressure (50-200 Pa) and 15-650 m3/h air flows.
  • CAR-HP high pressure (150-600 Pa) and 110-1.600 m3/h air flows.
